Shaun Osher is not only the Spice Mistress’ brother, but also an innovative, dynamic, well-loved and respected entrepreneur. Shaun has been on a mission to do great things from day one! Shaun went to New York from South Africa to gain a degree in music at The New School in NYC. Working his way through school, Shaun graduated as an accomplished saxophonist and musician.
The Spice Mistress is honoured to welcome Shaun Osher as the focus of this month’s Pancha Q.
Shaun then decided to venture into the world of real estate and now years later is founder and CEO of Core Group Marketing, one of New York’s most dynamic boutique real estate brokerage companies. Shaun’s style, infectious enthusiasm and incredible ability to lead with humor, compassion and intelligence is an inspiration and a tribute to following one’s dreams with heart all the way. And he is an adoring father to his two young daughters, Ava and Ella!
1. How do you begin your day?
Shaun: When I open my eyes, I like to spend 5 minutes reflecting on where I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m heading. I then like to do some kind of physical activity to start the day. I will bike, run, swim, or do some other kind of exercise 4 days a week.
2. What’s one piece of life changing health advice you can share with others?
Shaun: The mind is the most powerful antidote. Creatively visualizing how you want to interact positively with the world around you is a way to stay healthy. Having a dream and a goal that you can aspire to is a driving force that will focus the mind and connect it to the body.
3. What’s one thing that gives you hope for the future?
Shaun: The innocence and insight of my daughters. Children have innate intrinsic values that are larger than life itself and more powerful than anything the universe offers.
4. Which of your 5 senses is the most powerful, and why?
Shaun: My sense of smell. When I smell a familiar scent, it evokes images, sounds, sights and the feeling that encapsulates the essence of the source it comes from.
5. A moment of beauty that inspired you today?
Shaun: Looking at my daughter, Ella, sleeping peacefully.
Thank you for the interview, Shaun. Om Shanti!
