1. How do you begin your day?
Sabeeha: I sit up and drink a glass of water and I do a ten-minute meditation. Then I make myself a hot water with lemon, a cup of organic coffee, or a large pot of jasmine green tea. Then it’s time for puppy cuddles and kisses!
2. What’s one piece of life changing health advice you can share with others?
Sabeeha: I can’t just write one thing!
You cannot be happy and angry at the same time. Your cells can only be charged with one energy at a time. Your body cannot be focused on healing if you’re focused on anger or blame or other negative emotions. If you want to be leading a happy, healthy, positive life, you have to choose to be happy, healthy, and positive.
Mindfully listen to your body. It’ll tell you what is working and what isn’t working. Trust in its innate ability to heal itself of absolutely anything.
Your body is not a chemistry lab. Don’t eat packaged processed foods that are toxic to you and the environment with ingredients you can’t pronounce.
Don’t use chemical body products that you wouldn’t eat. Your skin absorbs them (think nicotine patch).
3. What’s one thing that gives you hope for the future?
Sabeeha: I am witnessing that more and more people are evolving into a more conscious place of caring about Mother Earth, what we put in our mouths, how we treat animals, the plight of other less fortunate beings. This gives me hope for the future of us and our planet.
4. Any lifestyle ‘Crimes against Wisdom’ (Prajnaparadha) that challenge you?
Sabeeha: I never make time for a proper lunch break during the work week. I rush through bites of food in between patients. Naughty, I know, but at least it’s always wholesome, homemade, organic, and delicious.
5. A moment of beauty that inspired you today?
Sabeeha: The raindrops hitting my window as I’m writing this are breathtakingly beautiful. I just love the sound…
Thank you for the interview, Sabeeha. Om Shanti!
