Home PageAromapothecaryLOVE IN ACTION FOR NEPAL

So much has happened since we said farewell.

Just two weekends ago we had our final sale at the Mystic Masala Aromapothecary and yesterday was our last day of online sales. In the midst of final contracts and farewells, a natural disaster struck our Beloved Nepal. A tragic event which affects us all.

If you have enjoyed our Ayurvedic product line, you may know it was lovingly made at Wild Earth Nepal, a women’s fair trade co-op in Kathmandu. I have been working with these remarkable women for over 13 years and when I heard about the earthquake all I wanted was to help my extended Wild Earth family. They have brought such beauty to all who have experienced their gifts.

Miracles and blessings abound amidst this tragedy. I Just heard that the Wild Earth family are all safe however most of their family homes are destroyed. So many in Nepal need support and Wild Earth has donated 6000 of their herbal soaps to tented camps in the devastated areas and are raising funds to make 10,000 more bars to distribute to those without homes, electricity, and supplies. The Mystic Masala has donated $500 towards this project and they will need $500 more.

And so The Mystic Masala is HAVING A ‘SECOND FINAL SALE’ with ALL profits going to Wild Earth Nepal. Not only will this soap project help with preventing poor hygiene and disease for those living outside or in tented camps, but also will be providing employment, healing, and upliftment to help in this crisis.

If you could not pick up your favourite Mystic Masala oils, soaps and candles at our farewell sale, the aromapothecary will be OPEN this Saturday May 2nd from noon until 5pm. ALL PROFITS OF ALL SALES in the shop Saturday (and online until the extended date of May 2nd midnight) will go to support the Wild Earth Nepal Soap project and to rebuild for those who have lost their homes.

I have pulled out my last few reserve bottles of Tridoshic oil to sell (only available in the shop). And then the Mystic Masala will truly be closed as I pass the baton over to Danielle LaPorte who will launch her own aromatherapy line with these exquisite formulas in the near future. Stay tuned.

Any other donations for Nepal you would like to make at the shop will be welcome. Any online donations for support to the Nepal crisis can go directly to Dzi Foundation for rebuilding schools, homes and local infrastructure.

Thank you for your generosity, love and support. With love and gratitude as always,

Spice Mistress,
